Terms of Use
Last updated: 18 May 2026
1. Purpose
These Terms and Conditions of Use (hereinafter the "Terms") set out the terms and conditions governing the use of the website the1vs1.com (hereinafter the "Platform"), published by SARL BAYE Conception. Any access to or use of the Platform implies unreserved acceptance of these Terms.
2. Service description
The Platform allows registered users to compete in 1-versus-1 matches on the EA Sports FC (FIFA) and eFootball video games, with the ability to wager real money on the outcome of their games. The Platform also offers a tournaments system enabling any verified user to organise multiplayer competitions (single elimination or group stage). Tournaments come in three forms: paid tournaments (entry fees, a real-money prize pool and automatic distribution of winnings), free tournaments (no-fee registration, no stake, rewards described in text by the organiser and no commission) and host-funded prize pool tournaments (free entry for players, a real-money prize pool funded by the organiser from their wallet, 2% platform commission). The 1vs1 acts as a technical intermediary and charges a commission on each challenge, on the paid-tournament organiser's commission and on the prize pool of host-funded tournaments.
3. Registration and user account
- Registration is free and open to any natural person of legal age (18 years minimum).
- The user undertakes to provide accurate and up-to-date information upon registration.
- Each user may hold only one account. Creating multiple accounts is prohibited.
- The user is solely responsible for the confidentiality of their login credentials.
- BAYE Conception reserves the right to suspend or delete any account in the event of non-compliance with these Terms.
4. How challenges work
- A user can create a challenge by setting a stake and a gaming platform (PS5, Xbox, PC).
- Another user can request to join the challenge. The creator approves or rejects the opponent.
- Once the match is accepted, both players must indicate that they are ready.
- After the match, each player declares their result (win or loss).
- If declarations match, winnings are awarded automatically.
- In the event of conflicting declarations (both declare a win), a dispute is created and reviewed by the support team.
4bis. How tournaments work
- Any user who has verified their identity, linked their Google account and enabled two-factor authentication can create a tournament.
- The organiser (host) chooses the tournament entry type: paid (entry fees and a real-money prize pool), free (no-fee registration and text-described rewards) or host-funded prize pool (free entry for players and a real-money prize pool funded by the host). They also set the game, format (single elimination or group stage) and number of participants.
- For a paid tournament, the host sets the entry fee and the prize distribution between 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. For a free tournament, they define one to three free-text rewards (a prize, an event slot, an honorary title, etc.). For a host-funded tournament, they define the real-money prize distribution between 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
- Tournaments can be public (open to all) or private (accessible only via an invitation link).
- For paid tournaments, entry fees are held in escrow by The 1vs1 until the tournament is closed and the host has no access to the funds. For free tournaments, no amount is deducted or locked. For host-funded tournaments, the total prizes plus a 2% platform commission is debited from the host's wallet upon tournament creation and held in escrow by The 1vs1; players register for free.
- The draw automatically generates the match bracket.
- Each match follows the same process as challenges: result declaration, automatic resolution or host intervention in the event of a conflict.
- A player absent for more than 1 hour after the scheduled time loses by forfeit.
- When a paid tournament closes, winnings are automatically distributed to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, and the host receives a commission equal to the difference between total entries and total prizes, less a 2% platform commission.
- When a free tournament closes, no amount is distributed and no commission is charged: the platform assigns the announced text rewards to the winners. Actually delivering these rewards is the sole responsibility of the tournament organiser, with The 1vs1 acting only as a technical platform.
- When a host-funded tournament closes, prizes are automatically distributed to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place from the escrowed pool; the host receives no commission (they fund the tournament) and The 1vs1 keeps the 2% platform commission.
- The 1vs1 reserves the right to suspend a tournament at any time in the event of non-compliance with the rules. In the event of cancellation, rejection by an administrator or suspension, participants of paid tournaments are fully refunded and, for host-funded tournaments, the entire escrowed amount (prizes + commission) is returned to the host.
5. Code of conduct
The user undertakes to:
- Not cheat, use third-party software or exploit game bugs.
- Honestly declare the results of their matches.
- Not engage in abusive, insulting or threatening behaviour towards other users.
- Not attempt to manipulate the results or the Platform's system.
- Comply with the rules and conditions of the EA Sports FC and eFootball games.
Any breach of these rules may result in the suspension or permanent deletion of the account, as well as the forfeiture of funds.
6. Commission and fees
BAYE Conception charges a commission on each match played on the Platform. The commission rate is shown transparently before the creation of each challenge. The commission is automatically deducted from the winner's winnings.
For paid tournaments, the platform commission amounts to 2% of the organiser's (host's) commission. This commission is automatically deducted when the tournament closes. Free tournaments incur no fees and no commission, their rewards being defined and delivered by the organiser outside any financial flow handled by the Platform. For host-funded prize pool tournaments, a 2% platform commission is calculated on the total prizes put up; it is charged when the host is debited (at creation) and retained by The 1vs1 when the tournament closes.
Under the referral programme, when a match is eligible, part of the challenge commission may be allocated to the partner who referred the eligible player, and the balance is retained by the platform. Eligibility conditions (including the activation threshold), applicable rates and calculation methods are defined by the programme rules in force on the Platform.
Partner commissions are credited to a dedicated referral wallet. They are not withdrawn automatically and may be transferred to the partner user's main wallet under the conditions displayed in the referral area (in particular a minimum transfer amount).
6bis. Referral programme
- A partner may have a personal referral code and a referral link.
- A user is linked to a partner upon registration or via the mechanisms provided by the Platform.
- Changing the partner code does not alter the historical attachment of referees already associated with the partner account.
- The Platform reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the referral programme, in particular in the event of fraud, abuse or operational necessity.
7. Disputes between players
In the event of a dispute (conflicting declarations), the support team examines the available evidence (screenshots, video proof, Twitch integration) and makes a final decision. The support team's decision is final and without appeal.
8. Limitation of liability
BAYE Conception cannot be held liable for financial losses incurred by users in connection with matches played on the Platform. The user acknowledges that participating in challenges involves a risk of financial loss and consents to it with full knowledge of the facts.
9. Amendment of the Terms
BAYE Conception reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Users will be informed of any substantial change. Continued use of the Platform after amendment constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Moroccan law. In the event of a dispute relating to the interpretation or performance hereof, the competent courts of Casablanca shall have sole jurisdiction, after an attempt at amicable resolution.
